March 2023 Price Increases

PRICING AMENDMENTS FOR 2023

You will recall that in June 2022, we reset our prices on dollar-bought products to the band of $1.20 to $1.30. Subsequently, sterling fell to a low of $1.03 in October 2022, and for two months, we had to impose surcharges which we removed at the end of December 2022. 

Having given time for sterling to settle down, we can now see that sterling has settled in a band around the very bottom of our stated range at $1.18 - $1.23. This is consistently below our midpoint of $1.25. 

We have also seen substantial increases in the price of UK manufactured products recently due to very high energy costs, higher than expected wage rises and, for plated items, the continued high price of nickel. All of these issues, largely stem from the conflict in Ukraine and are entirely outside our control. 

 As a result of these factors, and to give our customers certainty for 2023, we are announcing the following price increases:

- All Winlock own-brand items bought in US dollars will be increased by 5%, with effect from orders placed after 31st March 2023.

- All GU products will be increased by 5%, with effect from orders placed after 31st March 2023.

- All UK manufactured items will be increased by 10%, with effect from orders placed after 31st March 2023.

Please note that our dollar-bought product prices will now be fixed, provided sterling stays in the band of $1.14 to $1.26.

• All Easyfit Products 

• Winlock Branded Cylinders

• Pull Bars 

• Patio Rollers

We hope that giving customers extended notice of these unwelcome but unavoidable price increases, it will allow you all time to adjust your specifications or prices where needed.
